Last Will and Testament of Pardon ABBOTT

In the name of God Amen, I Pardon ABBOTT of Coventry in the County of Kent State of Rhode Island and being weak in body but of sound mind and meaning do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament (that is to Joy) after recommending my Soul to God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner at the disnation of my Executor here in after named:

Firstly My will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid by my Executor within a convient time after my decease.

2ndly My will is that my wife Anna ABBOTT shall have a decent and comfortable maintenance out of the Estate that I shall here after give to my son Oliver during the time she may survive me in life to be his wished by the said Oliver.

3rdly TO my Seven Children namely Amey WALLENS, Olney ABBOTT, Israel ABBOTT, Daniel ABBOTT, Elizabeth COLVIN, Nany PHILLIPS, and James ABBOTT I give and bequath half a dollar each to be paid by my Executor when called for after my demase and that together with what they have heretofore received to be in full for their portion of my Estate.

4thly To my son Oliver ABBOTT I gibe and bequath my lot of land called the Rueben lot situated in Coventry containing by estimation twenty acres and one hundred and forty-six rods of land and is bounded. Southerly on land of Daniel MATTESON, Westerly partly on land of Josiah BRIGGS and partly on David BURLINGAME, Northerly on lands of David and Sterry BURLINGAME and Easterly on Land of the heirs of Rueben ABBOTT Also on the remainder of my Estate both Real and personal where so ever the same may be found lying or being to him the said Oliver his heirs and assigns forever.

Lastly I do hereby Constitute and appoint my last named son Oliver ABBOTT to be my whole and sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament to see the same performed according to the true intent and meaning their of and I do herby revoke all other Wills Testaments by me in any use Willed or bequeathed satisfying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

In Witness where of I have here unto my hand and Seal this fifteenth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by me the said Pardon ABBOTT to be my last Will and Testament in presents of these witnesses.

The within Will was proved approved of and ordered to be recorded and the same is recorded in the 4 th book of Probate Reocrds on the 190 th and 191 th pages.
