RIVERPOINT CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH (1847-49)
A handsome cross-gabled Gothic Revival church with a square, two-story front corner tower topped by finials and a very tall, flared spire pierced by narrow, gabled, louver-filled openings. It has two pointed-arch entrances, one in the center of the windows along the sides. The building is now covered with aluminum siding. A gift of Harris and Sons, the mill owners, it was erected in 1847 by contractor George W. Ham. In 1849, a council convened at the meetinghouse to organize an Evangelical Congregational Church --the "First Congregational Church of Warwick."
