at the age of 26 on the 8th day of August 1862 (His occupation was listed as a farmer)
Made Sergeant June 1, 1863; Mustered out June 9, 1865

These Letters were found by Louise Rossi in the home Louise's father bought from Welcome G. Colvin. Welcome G. Colvin was the son of Nathan Colvin; who was the son of Oliver Colvin, who was brother to Charles F. Colvin our letter writer.
