Deed December 19, 1844 Scituate page 491

Know all men by these Presents that I Charles COLVIN of Scituate in the County of Providence State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations yeoman in consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars to me in hand well and truly paid by Jeremiah O. COLVIN of Coventry in the county of Kent State aforesaid, the receipt where of I do here by acknowledge have remised released and forever quit claim and do by these Presents, do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said Jeremiah O. COLVIN his heirs and assigns forever two certain lots of land with a dwelling House thereon standing and bounded as follows beginning at the North West corner of said lot at a stake and stones, Easterly eight rods on land of Stephen COLVIN late deceased to a highway at a stake & stones thence running Southerly thirty five rods on said Highway, thence Westerly Eight rods on land of Nathan RALPH to a Stake and Stones, thence Northerly thirty five rods on land of Stephen COLVIN to the first mentioned bounds; and the other lot contains about forty eight acres with the buildings thereon standing being the residue of the estate that Stephen bought of Nathan COLVIN and bounded as follows beginning at the North East corner of said running Westerly on land of Benjamin BURLINGAME, Southerly on Alden WATSON, thence Westerly Alden WATSON, thence Southerly on land of Curnel COLVIN late deceased, thence running Easterly land of Nathan RALPH, thence Northerly on land of Charles & Jeremiah O. COLVIN, thence Easterly on said land of Jeremiah O. COLVIN to the highway, thence Northerly on said Highway to the first mentioned bounded or otherwise the same may be bounded or reputed to be bounded.

To Have and to hold the same together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to him the said Jeremiah O. COLVIN his heirs and assigns forever, also Sally COLVIN wife of Charles COLVIN for the consideration as within expressed and for the good will I bear for my said Husband do surrender up all my sight of Dower and power of Thirds to him the said Jeremiah O. COLVIN to hold as aforesaid-In witness whereof we have here unto set our hands and affixed our seal at Scituate this 19th day of December A.D. 1844
