Know all men by these presents, that I Jeremiah O. COLVIN of Coventry in the County of Kent State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations yeoman, in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to me in hand well and truly paid by Charles COLVIN of Scituate in the County of Providence State aforesaid, the receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge have remised released and forever quit claimed
And do by these presents, remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Charles COLVIN his heirs and assigns forever two certain tracts of land, one of said tracts lay partly in Scituate and partly in Coventry, the other tract laying in Coventry, said tracts containing by estimation about forty five acres with the building thereon standing and bounded as follows, the first lot or tract beginning at a blackoak tree standing near the bank of the river, running Westerly on land of Charles JACKSON and Stephen RANDELL thence Southerly on land of Andrew COLVIN, thence Westerly on land of Andrew COLVIN, thence Northerly on land of Andrew COLVIN, thence Westerly on land of Stephen RANDALL and Charles JACKSON and the Hope Company to the river, thence Southerly and Westerly on the Hope river crossing the Coventry line, to land of Andrew COLVIN, Easterly and Northerly to the Coventry line, thence Easterly and Northerly to the Coventry line, thence Easterly on the Coventry line to Andrew COLVINs North East corner, thence Southerly on land of Andrew COLVIN to his Southeast corner, thence Easterly on land of Royal COLVIN and Thomas REMINGTON to the North East corner of Thomas REMINGTON land to the corner of the wall, thence Northerly on the land of the late James D. WOLF to the river, and on the said River to the first mentioned bounds. Also one other lot containing about five acres laying in the town of Coventry, bounded as follows: beginning at the heap of stones in the north west corner of said lot being the corner bound of John COLVIN, from thence is bounded Southerly and Easterly on land of said John COLVIN, thence Northerly to a stake and stones on land of the heirs of the late James D. WOLF to the land of Royal COLVIN to a stake and stones, thence Westerly on land of Royal COLVIN and Benjamin BURLINGAME to the first mentioned bounds or however otherwise the said may be bounded or reputed to be bounded. The said Jeremiah O. COLVIN reserves a right in the family burial ground being in the first mentioned lot, which is walled in for said purpose about seven rods and four wide. To have and to hold the same together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging to him the said Charles COLVIN his heirs and assigns forever. Also Susan COLVIN wife of said Jeremiah O. COLVIN for the consideration as within expressed and for the good will I bear for my said husband do surrender all of my rights as Dower and power of thirds to him the said Charles COLVIN his heirs and assigns forever. In witness in where of we have hereunto set our hands and seal at Scituate this Nineteenth day of December A.D. 1844 signed sealed and in the presents of Robert PERRY and Josiah N. COLVIN
