Our guest speaker for the evening was Raymond SICKINGER.
He is a professor of History, Public and Community Service Studies at Providence College. He was very
informative on the topic of the history of the St. Vincent de Paul Society which was founded in 1833 by six university students in Paris.
He spoke about the good works the society does to help the poor in many communities and around the world.
