
The guest speaker at our meeting was Robert Grandchamp who spoke on the RI's 7th Infantry in the Civil War.
Mr. Grandchamp is a National Park Ranger at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. He is the author of several books:
Mr. Grandchamp can be found narrating a tour on the video site called "You Tube"..."Harper's Ferry, Place in History"
Mr. Grandchamp is a history graduate student at Rhode Island College where he received a BA in American History and Anthropology. He is also the recipient of the 2007 Margaret B. Stillwell award for book collecting. He currently resides in Warwick, RI and is 23 years old.
Mr. Grandchamp does credit this Society in his research. He reproduced our"Colvin Letters" in his book entitled From Providence To Fort Hell: Letters from Co. K 7th RI Volunteers and also he references these letters in his book titled Seventh RI Infantry in The Civil War.
