Pawtuxet Valley Historian Volume 14, Issue 5

A special thank you to Frank Prosnitz, President of the Odeum Corporation, who salvalged our December meeting when Donna Adamonis (Theater Company of the Pawtuxet Valley Center for the Performing Arts) ws unable to present her program due to illness. Mr. Prosnitz, who is editor of the Providence Business News, became involved with the Odeum as a volunteer in 1993 and has been hooked ever since.

The Odeum Corporation, situated in the former Greenwich Theater building in East Greenwich, is an all volunteer organization that rescued an old historic building that began as a vaudeville theater in 1926. The Odeum brings entertainment to the community in the form of popular vocal artists, plays, and musical reviews as well as being a stage for local talent and productions.

Mr. Prosnitz's enthusiasm as well as his information program reminded is that only five or six miles away there is theater that rivals any production seen anywhere.
